My daughter, 11 years old, was very hyper and totally distracted all the time, be it in the class room or anywhere else. I was very reluctant to send her out with her classmates, even to Indus. Finally, I relented, because most of her close friends were participating in this camp. I was surprised to listen from her all the stories of the camp, doing things which they have not done earlier, in the right way, learning to listen to instructions. She enjoyed, thoroughly the resource management activity - survival cooking. Now, she is actually coming into the kitchen and ask more questions to find answers and she compares with what the group, at the camp, has done. I recommend such camps to all the parents.

Learning can never be confined to our class room's, in fact a lot of learning happens out side the regular school environment. Out bound learning or learning thru carefully planned and executed camps are very effective. In our experience, we have found that even children who are reclusive or hyperactive in the classroom, end up doing exceedingly well at these camps. They also help children appreciate and respect nature better. It helps children learn to work together as team's and definitely helps them become more independent. I would recommend such camps.
